Sports, Aquatics & Fitness

The City of Gainesville is working to ensure the safety and public health of our neighbors and community builders as it relates to the COVID-19 coronavirus.

Effective Monday, March 16, the city will begin closing several of its parks, playgrounds, gymnasiums, pools and recreation facilities until further notice. In addition, all previously scheduled programs, events and recreation activities in city facilities have been temporarily suspended.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Sunday recommended that no gatherings with 50 people or more take place for the next eight weeks to slow the spread of the novel coronavirus.
