The City of Gainesville with Friends of the Crisis Center is hosting the 7th Annual Survivors of Suicide Candlelight Vigil will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23 at the Judy Broward Survivors of Suicide Memory Garden in Cofrin Nature Park, located at 4810 N.W. Eighth Ave.

The City of Gainesville is hosting two commemorative Veterans Day events Monday, Nov. 11, in honor of our service men and women, past and present.

We are seeking nominations for the Michelle Park Family Recreation Scholarship. The purpose is to provide a scholarship for one year to one City of Gainesville low-to-moderate income family, to participate in nature, recreation and cultural activities provided by the city and other providers in the community, such as the Samuel P. Harn Museum of Art and the Florida Museum of Natural History.
