Schedule for Phase II Bid Process Revised to Late 2006 - Tuesday, September 05, 2006
|
Project managers revised the projected date for the release of the Phase 2 bid to early 2007. The revised schedule is due to a longer-than-expected technical review of the Remedial Action Plan by regulatory agencies, additional design tasks, as well as ongoing administrative tasks and permitting that remain to be completed. Phase Two consists of the remediation of the former Gainesville MGP site and offsite impacts, construction of the East Pond and related stormwater facilities, relocation of the depot building, and reconstruction of a segment of Depot Avenue. The City will make bid information available on Demandstar, an online service connecting businesses to government opportunities located at http://www.demandstar.com . Potential bidders interested in this project are advised to use Demandstar to access bid information regarding the Depot Park project. At this time, no information has been posted on Demandstar; however, as the bid date draws near, the Depot Park News Updates web page will display additional information regarding Demandstar and the bid process.
