The responsibilities of the director of Communications and Marketing Office include the following general government programs or services: marketing activities, strategic external/internal communication programs, broadcast services (City/County Government Access Television-Channel 12), media relations, dissemination of public information, crisis communication, coordination of general government website content (http://www.cityofgainesville.org/), Citizen Comment/Request Tracking System, Citizen's Academy, special public events, City Hall reception desk and main information line and other duties as assigned by the City Manager.
