Assist applicants with the application and hiring process

Provide knowledgeable, friendly customer service to applicants, employees and the public

Review and process all employment applications/resumes for the City of Gainesville/GRU

Prepare, schedule, proctor and score pre-employment tests

Assist departments with interview material

Conduct background investigations on all hires

Coordinate health assessments for all new hires

Extend and negotiate job offers for the City of Gainesville/GRU

Prepare analyses and reports of hiring processes

Maintain employment and hiring process records

Represent and recruit for the City of Gainesville/GRU at job fairs

Advertise vacancies, review and process applications/resumes, assist departments with testing and interviews, perform background investigations, and extend job offers

Conduct legally defensible hiring processes to hire qualified applicants

Ensure fair and equitable hiring processes by complying with and supporting Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity requirements
