Enterprise Zone Program

The City of Gainesville has a state-designated enterprise zone which encompasses a ten-square-mile area targeted for economic revitalization.

The Enterprise Zone offers financial incentives to businesses to encourage private investment and increase employment opportunity for the area's residents. Tax savings are offered to businesses located in the Enterprise Zone if they are employing zone residents, rehabilitating real property, or purchasing new business equipment. Companies can receive credits on their state sales tax, corporate income tax, and property tax.
