RTS Announces Possible Delays on Routes 5, 34 and 43 through Friday, August 15
RTS announces possible ten to fifteen-minute delays on Routes 5, 34 and 43 through Friday, August 15, 2008. Free Fridays Plaza Series Continues!
Cultural Affairs invites the public to join us for the Let’s Go Downtown Free Fridays Plaza Series, the annual series of family-friendly free concerts in the Downtown Community Plaza. Featuring some of the best local and regional musicians, this series runs through October and is highly anticipated by its many fans.     Parking Permits and Decals will be Available for Purchase Online Beginning August 5
    The Budget and Finance Department is pleased to announce that residential neighborhood parking decals/permits will be available for purchase online starting on Tuesday, August 5, 2008. Decals/permits that are purchased online will be mailed to the property owner or property manager for the residents to pick up.     City to Waive Fees for 150 Children Wishing to Attend Summer Camp
    At the July 14 Gainesville City Commission Meeting, the Summer Heatwave Committee requested the Commission waive camp fees for 150 youth.     Velveeta Underground to Perform at Gainesville’s Free Fridays Concert Series on August 1

    Morningbell to Perform at Gainesville’s Free Fridays Concert Series on July 25
    Throughout the 2000s, Morningbell has developed their own brand of melodic, psychedelic rock, rooting them as a well-established tradition in the Florida music scene.     Northwest 39th Avenue to Close for Two Weeks at Railroad Crossing

    Gainesville Fine Arts Association Exhibition at the Thomas Center
    The City of Gainesville Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs is pleased to announce the opening of the Gainesville Fine Arts Association art exhibition which will run from July 5 - August 17, 2008 in the Thomas Center Mezzanine Gallery.     8th Annual Regional Juried Exhibition at the Thomas Center
    The City of Gainesville Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs is pleased to announce the opening of the 8th Annual Regional Juried Art Exhibition which will run from July 12 - August 24, 2008 in the Thomas Center Main Gallery. A free public exhibition reception will be held Thursday, July 17, 2008 from 5 - 7PM. Awards will be presented at 6PM.
