The Historic Preservation Board (HPB) is an advisory board to the City of Gainesville’s Commission composed of citizens who voluntarily, without compensation commit their time and expertise to the stewardship of historic resources in our community.
The HPB approval is a procedure which occurs for alterations, construction, restorations, or other significant changes to the appearance of an structure in Gainesville’s Historic Districts which have an impact on the significant historical, architectural, or cultural materials of the structure and/or the district.
Meetings are held at 5:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month in City Commission chambers in City Hall at 200 E. University Avenue. (Unless otherwise indicated)
