We need your help – take our sidewalk survey!

The City of Gainesville and its partners are assessing and inventorying the Gainesville sidewalk network. The project team is conducting a public survey designed to better understand the mobility goals of Gainesville residents and workers. If you live or work in Gainesville, please take this 15-20 minute survey about your walking habits, perceptions of the current walking environment and your priorities for sidewalk improvements. The city plans to use your survey input to help prioritize sidewalk repairs and new sidewalk construction projects in Gainesville. The survey is available at http://sidewalks.ce.gatech.edu/

Our hours have changed to better serve you!

Effective January 30, 2017, our business hours are expanding to better serve our citizens. We are now open Monday - Friday 7:30 AM to 5 PM. We also offer after-hours consultations by appointment. If you would like to schedule a meeting with us outside of normal business hours, please call 352-334-5022 or email cogplanning@cityofgainesville.org to make arrangements.

“Keep it Pleasant!”

“Keep it Pleasant!” is a community service project dedicated to preserving and promoting the Pleasant Street Historic District and will take place on Friday, June 10th, from 9-1pm. NHDC canvased the area and identified five homes seeking painting and landscaping repairs. NHDC is partnering with the Gainesville CRA to supply paint and painting supplies through its Residential Paint Voucher Program. The number of projects we are able to complete is dependent on the number of volunteers we are able to secure. Completed projects will be showcased during the final event, “Pleasant in the Park.” If you are interested in more information on the five homes and/or families, volunteer opportunities, or have landscaping materials to donate, please contact Kayla Ellsworth at 352-380-9119. *(Special thanks to the City of Gainesville Planning Division for assisting in the planning of this event.)
