We offer several options to make it a great week for kids, and convenient for busy parents. Our day camps are in conjunction with Alachua School Board Calendar

Summer Camps

We are happy to offer a variety of camps throughout the summer months!

Scholarship Information: We have a scholarship that is available for families that qualify through the School Board of Alachua County (SBAC) for free or reduced lunch. Families can also qualify through the City of Gainesville Family Application for Reduced Fees. Proof of the past 4 weeks of income will need to be submitted with the application at time of registration. You can request proof of free or reduced lunch through your child’s school by calling the SBAC’s Food Service Office at (352) 955-7539 ext.1569. If eligible, you will receive a 50% discount.

A second scholarship that we are offering this summer for our Happy Campers and Teen Life camps would provide a 100% scholarship to either of these camps.  Please complete the following steps to apply for this scholarship:

1. You may pick up a scholarship application (for EACH CHILD that will be applying) at the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Administration, along with the list of required documentation, at the Thomas Center located at 306 NE 6th Avenue, Bldg. B, 3rd Floor, Monday–Friday from 8am–5pm.

2. Submit your application and documentation by April 20 at 5PM.

3. April 23rd we will randomly select the recipients of the scholarship and notify you if your child was selected.  At that time you will need to return to PRCA Administration and register.  If your child is not randomly selected, you will have a spot saved for you to enroll and will be required to pay at that time. 


When scholarships are granted, a child must attend the program on a full-time basis. Full time equates to three times a week. If a child misses 5 consecutive days, or 2 weeks without attending 3 days per week, then the scholarship will be revoked. The child may remain a registered participant by paying the full camp rate for the remainder of the desired session within two days of the decision. If parent/guardian does not make this payment, child will be withdrawn from camp.
