Improve Your Skills with Basketball Clinics for Youth Coed Basketball

The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department (PRCA) is pleased to offer a free basketball clinic with the coaching staff from the Eastside High School basketball team at the Martin Luther King Jr. (MLK) Multipurpose Center. The clinics are open to everyone, and are a great opportunity for those wishing to participate in PRCA’s Youth Coed Basketball league and hone in their skills.

The clinics will be held Monday, Nov. 30 and Wednesday, Dec. 2, and offer a chance for youth to work with seasoned varsity players and their coaches on the fundamentals of the game. Participants will be doing practice drills for shooting, dribbling, passing and more. The clinics are from 6 to 8 p.m. at the MLK Center and are open to the public.

Through fitness, fair play and sportsmanship, Youth Coed Basketball teaches youth, age five to14 years-old, how character counts on and off the court. There are no try outs, and each participant gets to play. Registration is currently open until Thursday, Dec. 17, or until team rosters are filled.
