Three new exhibitions in two venues for Artwalk on Friday, Sept. 24

The Galleries at the Historic Thomas Center, 302 NE 6th Ave., Gainesville

The Paintings of Alyne Harris:
An astonishing exhibition of 200 pieces of art never before exhibited. Alyne Harris paints to express her lived experiences and her profound spiritual life. Accompanied by interpretive text by curator Anne Gilroy and Dr. Porchia Moore, Director of Museum Studies, School of Art + Art History at UF.

On display through Jan. 15, 2022. Supported by the Doris Bardon Endowment and the Arts Association of Alachua County

The Paintings of Eddy Mumma:
The debut of over 50 paintings by Eddy Mumma, newly acquired as part of the city’s permanent art collection.

Living & Linking African Legacies Through The Lens of Ethiopian Contemporary Fine Artist Prince Merid Tafesse
Prince Merid Tafesse is widely known for his deep, sometimes disturbing, provocative and unrepentant drawings in charcoal.

Exhibit open Friday, Sept. 24 from 6–9 p.m. Artwalk night, and then on Saturday, Sept. 25 and Sunday, Sept. 26, from 2–5 p.m.
