Palm Point Park is currently closed, due to the impacts of Hurricane Irma. The park is expected to remain closed next week as well. Please check back for updates.
Staff from Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs have been working since conditions cleared from Hurricane Irma to assess the safety of our parks and facilities. The following are open, this post will be updated as information becomes available:
Neighborhood & Recreation Parks are open, but may have areas closed to the public for safety.
Recreation & Community Centers remain closed except for special use.
Martin Luther King Jr.(MLK) and Wellness Center are open.
Bo Diddley Plaza: Open
Depot Park: Open
Evergreen Cemetery: Open but no burials possible for now.
Ironwood Golf Course: Regular hours on driving range.
Thomas Center (Buildings A and B): Open but the Galleries are closed.
Nature Parks remain closed except for the following:
Sweetwater Wetlands Park, Alfred A. Ring Nature Park and Bivens Arm Nature Park are open.
Cofrin Nature Park: entry area, playground, tennis court, picnic area and pavilion are now open. All areas beyond bridge (including memorial garden and trails) remain closed.
Boulware Springs Nature Park: North entrance by Gainesville/Hawthorne Trail is open. South entrance by the Historic Waterworks is closed. Restrooms are now open by the Waterworks.
San Felasco Park: Playground and restrooms are open, trails closed. Morningside Nature Center: Living History Farm and Education building are open, but the education building restrooms are out of service. Also, the picnic area is open as well, but the trails are closed.
Loblolly Woods Nature Park: Main trail between NW 34th Street and NW 8th Avenue open. Also, main boardwalk and trail between 8th Avenue and 16th Avenue open. Side trails are closed.

Mickle Pool: 1717 SE 15th Street, (352) 334-2190
Mason Manor boardwalk is open.
