Here’s something to cheer about! On Dec. 6, the City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department’s Gainesville Gators Pop Warner varsity cheerleading squad placed third in the nation in their division at the National Cheer and Dance Championships in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
The squad advanced when they placed first in the Pop Warner Regional Cheerleading Championship that was held Nov. 24-27 in Orlando.
The Gainesville Gators Pop Warner varsity cheerleaders, along with their coaching staff, consider it an honor to represent the City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department on the regional and national stages.
The varsity squad consists of:
Cheerleaders: Jayde Adams, Leonika Alston, Keazia Bass, Reniya Ford, Yemauri Hamilton, Zaniya Littles, Quenisha Miller, Layla Robertson, Emerson Stephens, Za’lanya Thomas, Jacaria Walton
