The City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department offers a wide variety of programming for those who are 60 and over.  Come join the fun!!!  The benefits of recreation in your life are endless, and it all "Starts in Parks".

Good Health for Older Adults...It Starts in Parks: 

Participants in community-based senior wellness programs had signigicantly higher endurance levels, even after controlling their level of physical activity.

 

TreeTown Bridge @ Albert "Ray" Massey Recreation Center

The Tree Town Bridge Club meets on the 1st & 3rd Friday of each month (there are no meetings during the summer of on holidays) from 9:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.  Bridge activites are free and open to the public. For additional information you can contact  Albert "Ray" Massey Recreation Center

Senior Ceramics

Do you like to create, shape and paint? Albert "Ray" Massey Recreation Center offers an adult group setting where you learn to fire and paint various types of ceramics.  You can work at your own pace while socializing with others. All skill levels are welcome.  The class meets every Monday morning from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m.
