City Commission to Host Telephone Town Hall on Programs and Services


The Gainesville City Commission is hosting its third Telephone Town Hall meeting Tuesday, April 5 from 6-7 p.m. to discuss programs and services provided by the City of Gainesville. The City Commission adopts a budget each year that reflects the goals and priorities for Gainesville. This year, as the commission prepares for spring budget workshops, they would like to hear from the most frequent users of the city’s services - Gainesville's residents.

The City Commission encourages callers to join the telephone meeting to share their opinions on the variety and quality of programs and services provided by the City of Gainesville. The commission also wants to hear from residents on what their highest priorities are for Gainesville.

The telephone town hall meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 5 from 6-7 p.m. A database of approximately 19,000 home telephone numbers will be dialed prior to the 6 p.m. call.
