37th Annual 5th Ave. Arts Festival

The Cultural Arts Coalition is accepting applications for the 37th Annual 5th Ave. Arts Festival, which will be Friday, April 22 through Sunday, April 24.

This free annual festival will kick off with a blackout event Friday, April 22, with food and music, taking place at the newly renovated Bo Diddley Plaza, from 8-10 p.m. The festival and stage performances continue at 600 NW Fifth Ave. the following two days. The festival hours are 11 a.m.-7 p.m. on Saturday and 12-5 p.m. on Sunday.

This year’s festival promises to be bigger and better, including more dancers, artists and exhibits. The theme of this year’s festival is “Celebrating Life!” coinciding with the Earth Day celebration on Friday, focusing on children and our connection as humans to Earth.

In addition, the Cultural Arts Coalition is actively seeking singers, dancers or anyone who has a talent to share with the community. Anyone interested in performing should call 352-372-0216. The Cultural Arts Coalition is also seeking vendors: food, clothing jewelry, T-shirts or your own special products, call 352-372-0216 or email us at

The Cultural Arts Coalition could not do this without the help and support of many volunteers that, each year, help make this event possible! If you would like to volunteer to work on this year’s event, please call us, for information or to receive an application.
