Join us for Customer Appreciation Day at Ironwood Golf Course
The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department is happy to invite the community for a customer appreciation day Friday, Dec. 18 at Ironwood Golf Course. Celebrate with us as Ironwood Golf Course just received a brand new fleet of golf carts with several features that will make customers’ playing experience top notch. The fleet consists of 66 new TXT DC powered E-Z-GO golf carts ideal for hosting some of the top events in north central Florida with up to 132 players able to use the fleet at once. Everyone is invited to see the new carts, hit free range balls, enjoy complimentary hamburgers, hot dogs and pizza, and enter to win various prizes. Food will be served from 3:30-5:30 p.m., so come out and enjoy Ironwood and their new fleet of TXT golf carts.
Ironwood’s newly redesigned golf carts have been engineered to better meet the demands of golfers, and contain an oversized bagwell, larger seatbacks for extra support, expanded in-dash storage space for your valuables, wider and taller cup holders and repositioned ball holders for easy reach. Ironwood’s fleet also possesses club covers for the rain, split windshields, sand buckets and bottle, and rear basket for additional storage space.
Ironwood’s fleet will stand out from other fleets with a customized blue body, white roof and a City of Gainesville logo across the front of the cart. Ironwood also received two ranger carts that will allow staff to drive around the course and monitor play to ensure that all golfers are enjoying their playing experience. In addition, two beverages carts will allow patrons to stay hydrated while playing, as well as many snacks available for purchase.
The City of Gainesville is pleased to offer its citizens and surrounding communities a place to enjoy public golf experiences in a memorable setting and comfort. Ironwood Golf Course continues to be the home to several high schools, Special Olympics players and the favorite course for more than 50 charitable golf outings. Student, junior and senior rates are available, and tee times can be made five days in advance by calling 352-393-8505. We also encourage you to book tee times online (up to 10 days in advance) and follow the course on twitter.com/IronwoodGville or facebook.com/IronwoodGville for various specials.
