Gainesville Mayor Ed Braddy to Hold News Media Conference to Discuss Upcoming Telephone Town Hall
Gainesville Mayor Ed Braddy has scheduled a news media conference for Monday, Oct. 26 at 12 p.m. to discuss the Gainesville City Commission’s second Telephone Town Hall. The news media conference will be held in room 408 of City Hall, which is located at 200 E. University Ave.
The upcoming Telephone Town Hall is Thursday, Oct. 29 from 6-7 p.m. and seeks to engage the public in dialogue about PRCA Vision 2020, the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department’s master plan. Mayor Braddy will make a brief statement and, along with city staff, will answer questions. Staff will also provide reference materials for the PRCA Vision 2020 plan and handouts describing the talkGNV format.
The public is invited to pre-register by enrolling their telephone numbers on the City of Gainesville website at www.cityofgainesville.org/openGNV/talkGNV.aspx to participate in the telephone call or call 352-334-5032 to leave a message with their name and phone number. Registration ends Wednesday, Oct. 28.
