Community Grant Program Applications Due May 1
City of Gainesville is seeking eligible non-profit organizations to receive grants in support of activities that serve a public purpose and improve the quality of life for Gainesville residents. The purpose of the Community Grant Program is to provide small grants (up to $3,000) to non-profit organizations that support the City of Gainesville’s goals to provide services to needy individuals and families.
Eligible services include, but are not limited to, proving the following: meals, health care services, utility payment assistance, temporary housing for homeless persons, counseling and training for children and adults, and transportation services. Funding will be awarded to applicants who provide the most effective use of the Community Grant Program funds to provide support services producing the greatest benefit to needy individuals and families. All funded activities must comply with the Community Grant Program requirements.
All applications for Community Grant Program funding should be submitted online at https://agency.e-cimpact.com/login.aspx?org=11160F beginning at 7 a.m. Friday, April 17. The deadline for submitting an application is 5 p.m. Friday, May 1, 2015. A non-mandatory application workshop will be held Monday, April 27 from 2-3 p.m., and assistance about the online application process will be available. The workshop is at the United Way of North Central Florida’s office, which is located at 6031 NW First Place.
