A New Season for Gainesville Youth Baseball

Gainesville Youth Baseball, Inc, a 501(c)3 non-profit, parent-run organization, is gearing up for its fall youth baseball season, and is accepting registrations this week, in partnership with the City of Gainesville Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Affairs Department. They proudly offer the “Cal Ripken/Babe Ruth Baseball” Program for children 4-12 years of age.

Onsite registration is taking place this week at the Albert “Ray” Massey Westside Recreation Center, located on 1001 NW 34th St., on the following days:

  • Tuesday, Sept. 23 from 5-7 p.m.
  • Thursday, Sept. 25 from 5-7 p.m.
  • Saturday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m., at the concession stand area of the ball fields

The Gainesville Youth Baseball age groups are:

  • 4-6 years old, T-Ball
  • 7-8 years old, Rookies
  • 9-10 years old, Minors
  • 11-12 years old, Majors

The cost for only the fall season is $85, the cost for only the spring season is $125 and the cost for both seasons is $190 - a $20 savings.
