Residential Parking Permits and Decals Available for Purchase Online Aug. 4
The City of Gainesville Budget and Finance Department is notifying residents that residential neighborhood parking decals/permits will be available for purchase online beginning Monday, Aug. 4. Residents in the Controlled Vehicular Parking Zones will be able to purchase decals/permits online at www.cityofgainesville.org by clicking on the “Online Services” tab and navigating to the "parking decals" link.
Students living in sorority and fraternity houses associated with the University of Florida may also purchase residential decals online, provided the official member lists are submitted from the University of Florida to the City of Gainesville.
The cost of parking decals/permits in Zones 1, 2, 5 and 10 is $100 per decal/permit. The cost of parking decals/permits in all other zones is $50 per decal/permit. The cost of a decal for property owners who have a homesteaded property are $20 for one year or $60 for three years. Residents should make their purchase at least one week before the decal grace period ends or before their current decal/permit expires.

Residents should note that the only grace period for 2014 begins Tuesday, July 15 and ends Sunday, Aug. 31, 2014. Residents are responsible for ensuring their vehicle(s) have a valid decal before the end of the grace period. Parking citations will be issued after the grace period to all vehicles lacking the necessary decal. During the grace period, parking enforcement will continue to issue citations for all other parking violations. If residents have any questions, please call the parking decal office at 352-334-5024, Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m.-6 p.m.

New hours for decal purchase at City Hall are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. (Monday through Friday, excluding holidays).
