Jewel Box Concert Series Presents the Grascals Nov. 1
The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department, in cooperation with Shake Rag Cultural Center, Inc., welcomes the two-time International Bluegrass Music Awards (IBMA) Entertainer of the Year award winning band The Grascals to the next Jewel Box Concert on Thursday, Nov. 1 at the Thomas Center (302 NE Sixth Ave.) in Gainesville.
The Grascals emerged as a cutting edge modern bluegrass group in 2004 in Nashville, TN and rapidly grew in popularity after capturing the attention of legendary country singer, Dolly Parton. "We're so happy to welcome this band back to the Thomas Center,” says Ernie Evans, Vice President of Shake Rag Cultural Center, Inc. "Their ability to move people in their seats makes them the most electric band we've seen."
Doors open at 6 p.m., and the concert begins at 7 p.m. VIP seating is $30 and General admission is $20 at the door. Information and advance ticket purchases can be found at www.evansmediasource.com. The ticket office for the Jewel Box Concerts can be reached at 904-886-8378.
