Keep Up the Pace with the Second Race of the Dash & Splash Race Series

The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department (PRCA) wants to keep athletes and beginners motivated with the second race of the 2018 Gainesville Dash & Splash Race Series! The distances are a little longer, with a different race surface than the first. This is a perfect opportunity to challenge your fitness goals!

The race takes place Saturday, May 19 at H. Spurgeon Cherry (Westside) Pool, which is located at 1001 NW 31st Dr. This race starts at the pool and consists of a two-mile running route, partially on the trails of Loblolly Woods Nature Park, and a 400-meter swim at Westside Pool.

Don’t wait - sprint to enter! Register early and save money and receive a unique t-shirt for each race by signing up by the Thursday before each race. The entry fee for each race is only $19 for city residents and $25 for non-city residents, when signing up more than two days before the race. After that time, the fees are $25.50 for city residents and $38 for non-city residents. Proof of residency, a GRU bill or voter ID card, is required at time of registration.
