Special Event Additional Support (SEAS) Applications for Cultural Non-Profit Organizations Available Feb. 1
The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department is accepting applications for the Fiscal Year 2019 grant period for the Special Event Additional Support (SEAS) grant. The purpose of the SEAS grant (formerly known as the Support Services grant) is to provide support to non-profit organizations for outdoor community events through in-kind services from the City of Gainesville.
- Organizations must demonstrate non-profit status through certification from the State of Florida or 501(c)(3) or (c)(4) tax-exempt status from the Internal Revenue Service.
- Organizations and events must be based within the city limits of Gainesville, Florida
- The event must occur outdoors on public property, require services from two or more city departments and be open to the general public.
- Purely religious events are not eligible for in-kind/support services.
The grant is awarded for a one-year funding period, Oct. 1, 2018- Sept. 30, 2019. The application deadline is 5 p.m. Thursday, March 1, 2018.
