Players Wanted for the 2017 GAP Charity Golf Scramble

2/21/2017

Calling all golfers! The Gainesville Arts & Parks Foundation (GAP) is looking for people who love the links and want to help local youth. GAP is holding its second annual Charity Golf Scramble Friday, March 10 at Ironwood Golf Course, with a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy the best Audubon Society certified golf course in north central Florida. All proceeds from the scramble go to youth summer camp scholarships.

Player registration is $75 for an individual and $275 for a foursome. Registration fees include greens fee, cart fee, range balls, golfer gift, lunch and entrance to the awards dinner following the tournament. Not only are players contributing to a good cause, there will be several chances for great prizes, such as a 2017 Ford Mustang for a hole-in-one, sponsored by Parks of Gainesville.

The GAP Foundation is a 501(c)(3) that serves as an ally in fundraising and advocacy for the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs Department (PRCA). For more information about the GAP Foundation, please contact Gigi Simmons, interim partnership and development coordinator, at 352-393-8524 or simmonsgg@cityofgainesville.org.
