Mobile City Hall Coming to Westside Recreation Center Oct. 18
Mobile City Hall is bringing city services to the Albert “Ray” Massey (Westside) Recreation Center Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 8 a.m.-12 p.m. Mobile City Hall is a design experiment to bring city services to the community, rather than having the community come to City Hall, and is part of making the City of Gainesville the most citizen-centered city in the nation.
Some of the services that will be available through Mobile City Hall are:
- Obtaining building permit information
- Finding out about job opportunities at the city and applying for open positions
- Reporting issues (code issues, potholes, streetlight outages, etc.) via 311GNV
Mobile City Hall visitors may be asked to provide feedback to city staff about the services to help determine the benefits of bringing city services to the community.
Two local food trucks, Cilantros Tacos and Soup to Nuts, will be in the recreation center parking lot from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. with food available for purchase for visitors of the park or Mobile City Hall.
