The City of Gainesville and the University of Florida were awarded a joint $2 million grant in April through the National Science Foundation’s Smart and Connected Communities Program. Now, the city and UF researchers have begun their groundbreaking work to improve roadway safety.

As part of RTS's Transit Development Plan (TDP), the Department of Mobility needs your input as we continue to seek ways to enhance mobility and accessibility to better serve our communty's needs. The focus of the TDP is to serve as a vision plan and investment program to improve transit services in the community, including consideration of new and emerging mobility on demand services. RTS will be providing regular service starting Thursday, Sept. 14. Some routes may have detours because of flooding or debris on the road.
