2021 SHIP (State Housing Initiatives Partnership) Annual Report for Inspection and Comment


The City of Gainesville Homeownership Programs are designed to increase homeownership opportunities for very low, low and moderate income residents of the city by providing: 1) downpayment assistance to first time homebuyers and 2) due on sale loans to prevent families from losing there homes through foreclosure.

Mortgage Foreclosure Intervention:  The Housing & Community Development Division is currently accepting applications for Mortgage Foreclosure Intervention.

The Housing & Community Development Division (HCD) offers a Credit Repair Workshop and Counseling through our Credit Repair Program.  Housing & Community Development (HCD) is a HUD certified agency, there is no charge for the workshop or counseling.  Use the link below for more information about our Credit Repair Program.
