The Solid Waste Division’s Curbside Collection service does not pick up hazardous waste. Improper disposal of household hazardous waste can cause problems for the entire community. Collectively, these materials can contaminate our water supply and the air we breathe if they’re not disposed of safely. |

A new pilot program for e-scrap (electronic waste) collection has been implemented at curbside inside the city limits of Gainesville. On a trial basis the City of Gainesville will be testing the concept of collecting e-scrap at curbside. The procedure will be the same as white goods by calling 334-2330 to schedule for a Wednesday pickup. For a list of acceptable e-scrap as well as on-line scheduling click here. |
