Youth Activities


 

The City of Gainesville PRCA, in collaboration with the Gainesville Police Department, will be offering a series of basketball tournaments beginning June 21, and concluding on Thursday, August 12. The program will be offered to participants ages 12 -19 (age determined as of June 20, 2010). Games will be held at the MLK Multi-Purpose Center between the hours of 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM on Monday – Thursday evenings. Program space will be limited to 16 teams per tournament and participation in the tournament is FREE. Registration takes place at our Administrative Offfice which is located at 1024 NE 14th Street. Our office hours are Monday through Thursday from 7AM until 6PM.  You may call us at 352-334-5067 with any questions or concerns.   ALL PAPERWORK (5 forms below, birth certificate and final report card)must be turned in (with the exception of the report card) with registration fee, no incomplete packets will be accepted. 

Football:  City Resident $87.25 ~ Non-City Resident $130.25       

Cheerleading: City Resident $43.00 ~ Non-City Resident $64.00

AGE DIVISION / WEIGHT LIMITS 

  • TINY MITE:  Ages 5-6-7 (35-70 pounds) NO older/lighter
  • MITEY MITE: Ages 7-8-9 (45-90 pounds) NO older/lighter
  • JUNIOR PEE WEE: Ages 8-9-10 (60-105 pounds) Older/lighter: Age 11 (60-85 pds) 
  • PEE WEE: Ages 9-10-11 (75-120 pounds) Older/lighter: Age 12 (75-100 pds)
  • JUNIOR MIDGET: Ages 10-11-12 (85-135 pounds) Older/lighter: Age 13 (85-115 pds)

PLEASE NOTE: Cheerleading only uses the age requirements, not the weight limits.
