Congrats to the Gainesville Gator Cheerleaders!!

We would like to recognize the participants in our Pop Warner Cheerleading program. While participating in the Putnam Athletic League Cheer Competition on Saturday, October 17, the “Baby Gators” were awarded "1st place" in the Junior Pee-Wee, Pee Wee, and Junior Midget divisions. These Gainesville Gator cheer squads defeated teams from Suwanee, LakeCity, LakeRegion (Keystone), Bradford, Alachua, South Putnam, Southwest Volusia, Palatka, and UnionCounty in order to earn the top prize in each division! By virtue of their victory in this competition, each of the squads are now qualified to participate in the Southeast Region Cheer Competition to be held in Orlando, Florida, on November 26-28.

In addition to the success of these cheer squads, our Mighty-Mite cheer squad also performed admirably during the competition. As they are the youngest competitors, their performance was not graded and no awards were granted, but the future sure looks bright as the Mighty-Mite squad received praise from the judges, coaches, and their competitors!
