Preparing for GFR's Hiring Process
You will need to bring picture identification and the following completed forms to the written test.
Physician Recommendation form
Non-Smoking Affidavit/Hold Harmless form
CPAT Waiver of Claim for Injury form and a Certificate of Compliance (if applying for a Certified Firefighter position).
Gainesville Fire Rescue offers the orientation class at the conclusion of the written examination as noted in the timeline at the top of the page. Details on the process from that point forward will be covered in depth and questions will be answered at that time by representatives of the City human resources and Gainesville Fire Rescue.
