Extended hours at the
City of Gainesville will begin
Monday, September 29, 2008.
The City of Gainesville recently adopted a 4-day work week. Effective September 29, most City of Gainesville General Government offices will be open Monday through Thursday from 7 a.m. - 6 p.m. and closed on Friday.
What you need to know about the 4-day work week:
Hours will be extended to 7 a.m.-6 p.m., Monday - Thursday, to serve you
GRU hours will remain the same
Energy efficiency savings, as a result of building closures, are estimated at $90,000 annually
E-gov services will still be available online 24 hours a day
Public Safety and emergency services will still be available 24 hours a day
