Code Enforcement


OUR VISION: 
The vision of the City of Gainesville Code Enforcement Division is to be a department recognized as dedicated to excellence and innovation, as experts in our profession who continuously strive to improve our services and ourselves.

What We Do:                                                               Office Hours:
Code Enforcement is responsible for:                                 Administrative Office -
     Housing and Commercial Building Codes (Chapter 13)        Monday through Thursday,    
     Landlord License Codes (Chapter 14.5)                           7 AM - 6 PM
     Nuisance Codes (Chapter 16)                                      Field Services -
     Abandoned Vehicles on private property (Chapter 26)       Monday through Friday,     

     Land Development Code (Chapter 30).                            7 AM - 6 PM
     Graffiti

Yard Parking Exemptions:
Landlord License Renewal:
The following events are tentative exemptions from yard parking requirements as authorized by Section 30-56 (c) (4) (h) of the Gainesville Code of Ordinance for school year 2011-2012: 
Landlord License renewals for the 2011-2012 cycle were mailed out on July 14th, 2011. For current landlords, they were due no later than August 31, 2011 without penalty.
