Report A Code Violation


The Code Enforcement Division enforces many city codes including but not limited to:

* Building without a Permit                         * Overgrown Yards/Vacant lots
* Businesses in Residential Areas                 * Over-Occupancy

* Commercial Vehicles in Residential Areas     * Sign Violations
* Junk, Trash and Debris                            * Non-operational Vehicles
* Open/Unsecure Buildings                          * Yard Parking
* Graffiti

To be effective and efficient, Code Enforcement needs the cooperation of residences and businesses.  

To report a violation, please call (352) 334-5030 or fill out the form below. Your complaint will be received and entered into the Code Enforcement tracking system within one (1) working day. A Code Inspector will inspect the property within two (2) working days.  Please be aware that the Code Enforcement Division's hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 7 AM - 6 PM.

When completing the form below, please be sure to provide the address of the violation if you know it. Otherwise, enter a detailed description of where the violation is located.  Also, please don't forget to enter a detailed description of the violation.

Check for existing or previous cases:
To find out if a case has been issued for an address, or to follow a case, feel free to check the Public Access Portal.  Searches can be done by Case Number or by Address. All of our cases begin with CE-YR-xxxxx, for example if you are looking for cases entered in 2011, enter CE-11-; or click on Address, then enter only the house number (example: 1234) and the street (example: 10), and press SEARCH.

Under Florida Law, e-mail addresses are public records.  If you do not want your e-mail address released to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity.  Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.
