The Code Enforcement Division enforces many city codes, including but not limited to:


  • Building without a Permit 
  • Businesses in Residential Areas
  • Commercial Vehicles in Residential Areas
  • Graffiti Junk, Trash and Debris
  • Non-operational Vehicles 
  • Open/unsecured Buildings
  • Overgrown Yards/Vacant Lots 
  • Over-occupancy 
  • Sign Violations
  • Yard Parking

To report a violation call 352-334-5030 or fill out the form below:  To find out if a case has been issued for an address, or to follow a case, searches can be done through the Public Access Portal

How to check Code Enforcement cases:
1.  Click on the Public Access Portal which is highlighted below, then select Public Access
       2.  Select Cases.  Searches can be done by Case Number or by Address

Search by Case Number:  All Code Enforcement cases begin with CE-YR-xxxxx; for example, to find cases entered in 2012, enter CE-12-xxxxx (the 5-digit case number), or to find ALL cases within year 2012, enter CE-12-, or within year 2013, enter CE-13-, etc. 

Search by Address:  Enter only the house number (example: 1234) and the street number (example: for NE 10th Street, enter 10), and press the SEARCH button.

On the portal: the Permits tab is maintained by the Building Department at 352-334-5050;

The Projects tab is the responsibility of the Planning and Zoning Division at 352-334-5023.

Under Florida Law, e-mail addresses are public records.  If you do not want your e-mail address released to a public records request, do not send electronic mail to this entity.  Instead, contact this office by phone or in writing.
